I’ve been prepping to launch this blog for a few months now, crafting my thoughts on creative writing and the writer’s lifestyle into legible prose. I’ve reflected on my vision for this blog.

I love what this platform could do for our community and today, I want to share with you how I hope that this blog will expand and evolve.

I also hope to hear from you in the comments below. I want to know how you think this blog could be at its best to serve all of us because if this blog is only for me, then it’s a very public diary. 

But, I believe that if it grows with us all, it can become a fabulous resource and supportive community for the many busy creative dreamers who are looking to connect with others.

I love the idea of learning from you as well!

Here are my current and future plans for the blog!

#1: Aside from sharing my thoughts and strategies, I am seriously beginning the journey toward self-publishing my novels!

I want to share this adventure with you.

I have no previous knowledge of what is needed to self-publish and market my book so we will gather many insights together.

#2: I want to expand the creative writing tab by starting to share some short, written pieces.

I’d love to put a smile on your face, a chuckle in your throat, and also give us the chance to hone our editing skills.

Maybe, we start some dialogue on each piece: What works? What doesn’t? How it could be improved?

Many of us see our writing as our darling babies and any criticism can seem hurtful.

I don’t want to be hurt by others’ opinions. I’d like to build up my resilience now with a supportive community of creatives.

#1: I want this community to be the first to know about my projects and newly published works.

Aside from sharing each step of the publishing journey with you, I’d like to give you opportunities to get involved- book cover reveals, ARC readers, and fun contests.

Yes, part of me wants to use this blog to shamelessly promote my work.

#2: I want to connect with other creatives and writers.

I’d love to share interviews and guest posts on this site.

I don’t have all the knowledge and my way isn’t the only way. I believe that learning from others will benefit us all.

I have this dream: I imagine using this blog in the far-off future to share and promote young writers.

Maybe, through a monthly contest where one short story is shared along with an author’s interview. 

I’m a teacher and getting students excited to write is challenging.

If I can find a way to encourage more young writers then I’ve done what I could to support others through this blog.

There it is! 

It’s vague and unpolished, but I’m a dreamer.

I can’t wait to see what this blog has in store for us in one, two, or five years.

I’m just as excited to be sharing each week right now as the blog works through its tiny, diamond-in-the-rough phase.

I’m sure that in the end, it will be far from what we imagined and yet just what we needed.
