Have you read, Can Active Procrastination Be a Writer’s Best Friend?

In this blog post, I state that intentional periods of procrastination can be a productive way to maintain your creative inspiration and make strides in your writing project!

However, productive procrastination is difficult to identify.

There’s always the risk of falling into a streak of passive procrastination.  Unintentional procrastination hinders us from accomplishing our writing goals.

Activities such as scrolling Instagram or movie marathons are unhelpful ways to procrastinate. They leave us sapped of energy rather than ready to get down to the business of writing when we’re done.

Remember, productive procrastination is an intentional break with an end time. You’re committed to writing once your break is over.

So, what sort of activities count as productive procrastination?

If you love crossing items off a list then today’s post is for you!

Below, I’ve compiled 20 productive procrastination activities for you to choose from so that you can stay active, get things done and feel ready to jump back into writing when the time is right.
